Jailbreak news of the week: Avoiding certain social media tweaks, PureKFD updates, CVE-2025-31200 PoC, & more…

Whenever it comes to hacking or jailbreaking iPhones and iPads (even Apple TVs), the neveropen team is never far behind the latest announcements. We report on the latest news and releases as they happen, ensuring that our readers benefit from these kinds of device enhancement tools as they become available.

Weekly jailbreak news roundup.

While things certainly have been slower lately because of Apple’s improved device security standards, there remain substantial amounts of loyal jailbreakers who use existing tools, or even non-jailbreak utilities that utilize exploits for the mere aspect of customizing certain elements of the operating system, like aesthetics or behavior.

In today’s piece, we’ll be going over everything new in the world of iPhone & iPad hacking and jailbreaking spanning the week of Monday, May 26th to Sunday, June 1st. We’ll begin by talking about the most important news points first and then wrap up with an outline of the latest jailbreak tweak releases and updates afterward.

Important stuff from this week

While installing jailbreak tweaks to customize your iPhone or iPad can be fun, there are certain jailbreak tweaks that we would advise against using.

For example, jailbreak tweaks that change intended behavior in certain social media apps, such as Snapchat and YouTube, could result in violating the platform’s terms of service, and therefore get your account banned or suspended.

Security researchers have shared a PoC (proof of concept) for CVE-2025-31200, a security vulnerability that Apple patched in iOS & iPadOS 18.4.1.

While Dopamine jailbreak lead developer Lars Fröder seems confident that this won’t result in a jailbreak, it may still be worth watching in case it enables toolbox-like app capabilities such as those seen in Misaka, Nugget, and PureKFD.
