We’ve known that Google was rebranding Find My Device to Find Hub in the Android settings, even calling out the change as it was rolling out. Well, it would appear that the rollout is finally complete (via 9to5Google); you should now see Find Hub instead of Find My Device, which you can navigate to in the Device finders section under Security & privacy. From the Find Hub screen, you can then easily launch the Find Hub app or jump to the Find Hub webpage.

Find Hub is officially here to ensure a consistent branding

Google gets branding right for once

Let’s face it: Google loves to name things, rename them, and sometimes even change them back to their original names. Basically, consistent branding is Google’s Achilles heel, but for once, the company has worked toward coherent branding for its Find Hub. Not only is this the name of a standalone app that comes pre-installed on Pixels, but it’s now the name of what used to be called Find My Device in our security settings. This way, when you are talking about Find Hub, there won’t be any confusion with any other settings or apps. The branding is now consistent between both.

Now, the last time we checked in with Find Hub as the name change was rolling out, we noticed that ultra-wideband (UWB) precision finding was missing. Well, we tested UWB again today with a Pixel 9 Pro and Moto Tag, and UWB still appears to be absent despite promises we’d see its arrival last month.

So, Find Hub should now be available in your Android settings. On a Pixel, you can find the new name under your Security and privacy settings. Simply click on Device finders, and the screen will tell you whether Find Hub is on, with an easy way to navigate to the app or webpage.
